DONNA – A Donna man plead guilty two counts of sexual abuse of a child and will spend the next 15 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division.

On Wednesday, April 20, Abraham Aguilar Robledo, 43, went before the 206th District Court and entered a plea of guilty to Count One (1st degree felony) Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and Count Two (2nd degree felony) Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact. The Honorable Judge Rose Guerra Reyna sentenced him to 15 years for each count and lifetime registration. Both sentences will run concurrent. Count Three was dismissed.

The case was handled by the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office; with assistance from the Children’s Advocacy Center of Hidalgo and Starr Counties who provided forensic interviews, forensic examinations, and counseling services to the victims; and Child Protective Services provided assistance to the family.

“No child should have to suffer the physical and emotional trauma of sexual abuse, especially in their home and from someone that they trust,” said Criminal District Attorney Ricardo Rodriguez Jr. “All children deserve to be protected from pain and abuse.
